HC Conduction Cooled Capacitors

CDE / Illinois Capacitor HC Conduction Cooled Capacitors feature high AC voltages and high current capabilities. These devices are designed for induction heating applications such as tank circuits. The HC Series offers 150-600KVAR and a maximum core temperature of +85°C. Additional features include a self-healing construction, a capacitance tolerance of ±10%, a self-inductance of less than 5nH, and a flame retardant UL 94V-0 classification.

Conduction Cooled Capacitors

CDE / Illinois Capacitor Conduction Cooled Capacitors offer extremely large current handling capabilities for specialized applications such as resonant power supplies, RF amplifiers, welding equipment, induction heating, and electric vehicle charging stations. These capacitors feature single- or multiple-element construction that is impregnated to reduce the risk of internal corona. CDE / Illinois Capacitor Conduction Cooled Capacitors can be used from 9kHz to 1MHz depending on value, offer up to 1200ARMS at the resonant frequency and have an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
