Capacitor Solutions

KYOCERA AVX provides a large portfolio of capacitor solutions designed around density, size, and reliability requirements. Common capacitor types include aluminum electrolytic, tantalum electrolytic, ceramic, and film. KYOCERA AVX ceramic capacitors are commonly used in DC-DC converters, which can be found in nearly every subsystem of electric vehicles (EVs). 

Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors provide high-CV performance in smaller packages, low equivalent series resistance (ESR), and high endurance. These capacitors include conductive polymer and hybrid electrolytic solutions that feature higher tolerance for ripple currents, inrush currents, and higher temperatures than standard solutions.

Aluminum Electrolytic Radial Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX Aluminum Electrolytic Radial Capacitors feature a wide range of capacitance values and voltage ratings. These radial leaded capacitors are offered in three series. The REA series offers a 68μF to 2200μF capacitance range, 16VDC to 450VDC voltage rating, and 330mA to 1130mA leakage current. The REH series has a capacitance range of 22μF to 47μF, voltage ratings of 50VDC to 100VDC, and leakage current of 180mA to 220mA. The REF series comes in a 220μF to 330μF capacitance range, 25VDC voltage rating, and 810mA to 1045mA leakage current. RES series capacitors feature 5000 to 7000 hours of life at +105°C and a capacitance range of 2.2μF to 1000μF. KYOCERA AVX Aluminum Electrolytic Radial Capacitors are available in bulk packaging. The REA series is also offered in an ammo pack option.
