70-9296 Single Poke-Home Wire-to-Board Contacts

KYOCERA AVX 70-9296 Single Poke-Home Wire-to-Board Contacts feature a dual-beam box contact system that provides simple, reliable wire termination and eliminates the need for wire soldering. The unique contact design offers several key features within the stamping for SMT pickup, wire guidance, high force retention, and easy wire removal. Designed for a surface mount connection to the PCB, a keyring rib is inserted for strength and alignment. The series has a maximum staged current rating of 20A (12AWG) and operating temperature range of 40°C to +125°C. KYOCERA AVX 70-9296 contacts are well-suited for industrial/ruggedized wire-to-board applications due to their excellent mechanical stability and wire retention.

Poke-Home Connectors

KYOCERA AVX Poke-Home Connectors feature simple strip + poke wire insertion, reusable twist-and-pull wire extraction, and high wire capture strength. KYOCERA AVX Poke-Home Connectors come in vertical top entry, inverted thru board, single vertical top entry, horizontal, and low-profile horizontal options as well as STRIPT™ contacts and wire-to-wire connectors.

A dual-beam boxed contact system surface mounts to a PCB and provides a simple, reliable wire termination without the soldering of the wire. The unique contact design integrates several key features within the stamping to facilitate SMT pickup, wire guidance, high force retention, and easy wire removal. Combined, these features provide all of the benefits of a full-function connector without the added cost of the insulator and labor. The KYOCERA AVX 4mm, 3mm, 2mm, and 1.7mm closed box contacts accept either solid or stranded wires ranging from 28AWG to 12AWG with current ratings up to 20A.

These KYOCERA AVX connectors and contacts accept either solid or stranded wire ranging in size from 28AWG to 12AWG.
