Normal / Differential Mode Coils

KEMET Normal / Differential Mode Coils feature various characteristics, sizes, and specifications. These coils offer four types of dust core material: Fe, Fe-Si, Fe-Ni, or Fe-Si-Al, depending on the model. KEMET Normal / Differential Mode Coils deliver a rated current of up to 8A for SN coils and up to 30A for XXBC coils. Typical applications include home appliances, power supplies, switching power supply outlets, DC-DC converters, phase compensation, boost converters, and standard mode noise countermeasures.

Group Power Conversion Components

YAGEO Group (YAGEO, Pulse, KEMET) designs passive component technologies that are critical in power conversion systems, including safety, snubber, and DC link capacitors; current sense and power resistors; and magnetic components such as transformers, common mode chokes, and inductors. Because every electronic device requires power, a vast majority of these products utilize a form of power conversion or power supply to deliver the required energy. 

SN Coils

KEMET SN Coils are differential mode coils with a wide variety of characteristics. These coils feature proprietary Fe dust cores that are ideal for normal mode noise countermeasures. KEMET SN Coils offer a rated current AC range from 500mA to 20A and a rated inductance range from 1.5µH to 550µH. Typical applications include home appliances and power supplies.

AC Line Filters

KEMET AC Line Filters, also known as coils or chokes, suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise. All consumer electronics that use AC power need EMI suppression such as AC line filters. KEMET AC Line Filters are compact, low profile, and lightweight. These coils are available in a variety of form factors and heights, including split and non-split bobbin designs in common mode, as well as differential / normal mode, dual mode, and earth inductors.

Parasitics can have a significant effect on the noise attenuation and current rating of a common mode filter. Würth designed the WE-CMB series for minimal parasitic effects over its useful frequency bandwidth so it does what it is designed to do - get rid of the noise.
