High Voltage X7R FT-CAPs

KEMET High Voltage with Flexible Termination (HV FT-CAP) surface mount MLCCs in X7R dielectric address flex cracking, the primary failure mode of MLCCs, which is typically the result of excessive tensile and shear stresses produced during board flexure and thermal cycling. The HV FT-CAPs from KEMET offer a voltage range from 500VDC to 3000VDC and low leakage current, exhibit low ESR at high frequencies, and are used as snubbers or filters in applications such as switching power supplies and lighting ballasts. Combined with the stability of an X7R dielectric and designed to accommodate all capacitance requirements, the flex-robust HV FT-CAPs are RoHS compliant, offer up to 5mm of flex-bend capability, and exhibit a predictable change in capacitance with respect to time and voltage.  These devices offer industry-leading CV values, offering a capacitance range from 130pF to 0.33µF and an operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C.

KEMET High Voltage Flexible Mitigation MLCCs include flexible termination (FT-CAP) technology and are designed to reduce the risk of flex cracks. These solutions offer a 500VDC to 10,000VDC voltage range and include products that are ideal for commercial and automotive applications.

Commercial & Automotive SMD High-Voltage MLCCs

KEMET Commercial and Automotive SMD High-Voltage MLCCs (Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors) feature proprietary technologies ArcShield, KPS, and KC-LINK. These capacitors are available in EIA case sizes ranging from 0402 to 4540 and DC voltage ratings up to 10000V. KEMET Commercial and Automotive SMD High-Voltage MLCCs cover capacitance ranges from 0.5pF to 560nF with an operating temperature of -55°C to +125°C. Commercial & Automotive Flex Mitigation MLCCs

KEMET Commercial and Automotive Flex Mitigation MLCCs are designed to reduce the risk of flex cracks. Flexible Termination (FT-CAP) multilayer ceramic capacitors incorporate a unique, flexible termination system that is integrated with the KEMET standard termination materials. Conductive silver epoxy is utilized between the base metal and nickel barrier layers of the KEMET standard termination system in order to establish pliability while maintaining terminal strength, solderability, and electrical performance.
