Flexible Termination MLCCs

KEMET Flexible Termination technology is utilized in several series of surface-mount Multilayer Ceramic Chip Capacitors (MLCCs). These capacitors were developed to address flex cracks, the industry's primary failure mode for MLCCs. The Flexible termination directs circuit board stress away from the ceramic body and into the termination area. These MLCCs reduce the risk of mechanical damage to the component that can result in low IR and short circuit failures.

Commercial & Automotive SMD High-Voltage MLCCs

KEMET Commercial and Automotive SMD High-Voltage MLCCs (Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors) feature proprietary technologies ArcShield, KPS, and KC-LINK. These capacitors are available in EIA case sizes ranging from 0402 to 4540 and DC voltage ratings up to 10000V. KEMET Commercial and Automotive SMD High-Voltage MLCCs cover capacitance ranges from 0.5pF to 560nF with an operating temperature of -55°C to +125°C. Automotive-Grade MLCCs

KEMET Automotive-Grade Multilayer Ceramic Chip Capacitors (MLCCs) are suited for a variety of applications that require reliable operation. These surface-mount MLCCs undergo a strict testing protocol and inspection criteria, making them suitable for harsh environmental conditions. The automotive-grade capacitors have a maximum operating temperature of 150°C. These MLCCs meet AEC-Q200 requirements and are manufactured in state-of-the-art ISO/TS 16949:2002-certified facilities.

KEMET High-Voltage ≥500V Capacitors are offered in a variety of form factors, case sizes, dielectrics, and capacitance values. Commercial & Automotive Flex Mitigation MLCCs

KEMET Commercial and Automotive Flex Mitigation MLCCs are designed to reduce the risk of flex cracks. Flexible Termination (FT-CAP) multilayer ceramic capacitors incorporate a unique, flexible termination system that is integrated with the KEMET standard termination materials. Conductive silver epoxy is utilized between the base metal and nickel barrier layers of the KEMET standard termination system in order to establish pliability while maintaining terminal strength, solderability, and electrical performance.
