Surface Mount Power Device (SMPD)

IXYS Surface Mount Power Devices (SMPD) provide an innovative solution that allows for many design optimization opportunities across a large number of power electronics applications. Weighing only 8g, the SMPD Package is typically lighter by 50% than comparable conventional power modules, thereby enabling lower weight power systems. Due to their internal insulation by DCB, it is possible to use the same heat sink for multiple devices, reducing thermal management efforts. An added benefit of being smaller and lighter is that it provides higher robustness against vibrations and g-forces, especially if used in portable appliances, increasing the life expectancy and reliability of these devices.

3-Phase Rectifier Bridges

IXYS 3-Phase Rectifier Bridges feature an 800V to 1800V maximum reverse voltage (VRRM) range and a 15A to 248A diode rectifier average current (ID(AVG)) range. These rectifier bridges are manufactured using planar passivated chips. The 3-phase rectifier bridges make use of screw terminals for space and weight savings while offering low forward voltage for improved temperature and power cycling. IXYS 3-Phase Rectifier Bridges are available in various packages that reduce the effects of harmonics and line distortion. These UL-recognized rectifier bridges deliver 3000V isolation voltage and operate within a -40°C to +175°C temperature range.
