USB Type-C® 3.2 Gen 2 Standard Connectors

GCT USB Type-C® 3.2 Gen 2 Standard Connectors are robust, compact I/O interconnect systems with a reversible mating form factor. The connectors provide fast 20Gbit/s (USB 3.2) speeds, more than 10,000 mating cycles, power up to 5A, 24 contacts as standard, and profiles as low as 3.26mm. Top-mount connectors are soldered to the top side of the PCB. The devices can also be soldered to the bottom of the PCB to take advantage of the USB Type-C reversible interface. For mid-mount versions, a hole is routed in the PCB, and the connector drops onto the PCB top or bottom and is soldered in place. Mid-mount connectors are ideal for super low-profile applications. Vertical-mount plugs and receptacles are simply mounted at 90° on PCBs. 

USB 3.0 Type C Connectors

GCT USB 3.0 Type C Connectors are robust and compact I/O interconnect systems that offer a variety of new functionality and features for USB connectivity. This includes a reversible mating form factor and elevated levels of performance when it comes to power delivery and data transfer speeds. These connectors are capable of handling power up to 5A, fast 20Gbit/s (USB3.2) data transfer rates, and up to 10,000 mating cycles. This is a significant improvement to a much higher level of power management, up to 100 watts to deliver fast charging. The USB 3.0 Type C connectors successfully pass the stringent temperature rise specifications required for USB Power Delivery because of the high-grade contact material products used.

USB4115/USB4220/USB4225 USB Type-C™ Connectors

GCT USB4115/USB4220/USB4225 USB Type-C™ Connectors offer a wide range of options across 16-pin and 24-pin configurations. These connectors connectors share an identical 24-pin PCB layout. The USB4115/USB4220/USB4225 connectors incorporate height profiles ranging from 8.8mm to 10.4mm. These connectors feature 20,000 mating cycles (2x the industry standard) and a 240W power rating (48V @5A). Typical applications include portable audio, security systems, wearables, health and beauty products, VR technology, video systems, and gaming stations.

USB Type-C® Connector Solutions

GCT USB Type-C® Connector Solutions are robust and improved I/O interconnect systems with new functionality and increased performance. The USB Type-C connectors feature a reversible mating form factor with up to 10Gbps transfer rates and a 5A maximum power rating. The connectors operate over 10,000 mating cycles for reliable performance and power delivery. The standard USB Type-C connector has 24 contacts, though other versions offer fewer contacts, like GCT ionex® Type-C with 16 contacts.
