Magnetic Products for Automotive Applications

Coilcraft manufactures a vast array of products designed to withstand extreme temperatures. The majority of these products meet the strict quality standards of AEC-Q200 certification and are suitable for use in harsh automotive environments. In addition to off-the-shelf high-temperature parts, Coilcraft can tailor products to fit specific environmental requirements.

1008 (2520) Chip Inductors

Coilcraft 1008 (2520) Chip Inductors include high Q, high current devices with profiles as low as 0.045" and a wide range of inductance values. The 1008CS series offers a ceramic construction for the highest possible self-resonance (as high as 4100MHz). This series also has exceptionally high Q compared to non-wirewound inductors, especially at high frequencies. The 1008LS series utilizes a ferrite construction for higher current carrying capacity and provides a higher Q and lower DCR than the 1008CS/HS series. Coilcraft 1008 (2520) Chip Inductors feature silver-palladium-platinum-glass frit terminations (RoHS compliant, 260°C compatible).

RF Magnetics

Coilcraft RF Magnetics are a broad range of high-performance, surface-mount RF Magnetic components. These RF Magnetics include high-Q/tight-tolerance ceramic-core and high-inductance ferrite-core chip inductors as small as 0201 (0603) size; ultra-high Q, high current, non-magnetic air core inductors; bias/broadband inductors and chokes; broadband RF transformers; and RFID transponder coils. Coilcraft also offers fixed and tunable through-hole inductors. The components range in inductance from 500pH to 14.8mH with maximum DC currents from 30mA to 13.4A.

SM Ceramic Core Inductors

Coilcraft SM Ceramic Core Inductors are available in sizes as small as 0201 (0603) and inductance values ranging from 0.5 to 33,000nH. Coilcraft ceramic-core chip inductors offer exceptionally high SRFs, high Q and tight inductance tolerances – many as tight as 1% with just a small premium.
