Data Converters

Analog Devices Inc. Data Converters are a portfolio of data converters that are unmatched in ability and deliver performance with value. The converters provide accurate and reliable conversion for a range of applications. Typical applications include industrial automation, programmable logic controllers, optical transceivers, data acquisition, and more.

Analog Devices Inc. Precision Signal Conditioning

Analog Devices offers a portfolio of Analog Front End (AFE) devices, amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters (ADC), and digital-to-analog converters (DAC) designed to deliver unmatched performance in precision signal conditioning. The Analog Devices precision amplifiers are specifically designed to support traditional trimmed and zero-drift amplifier technology. The precision ADCs feature devices with speeds up to 10MSPS, 8- bit to 32-bit resolution, and a range of ADC architectures including SAR—Successive Approximation ADCs, Σ-Δ modulators, and isolated ADCs. The precision DACs are a vital component of any analog sampling network, given they determine system performance. Offering performance up to 12MHz, the Analog Devices precision DACs are critical data conversion components used in most high performance signal processing systems. Analog Devices offers the industry's largest portfolio of DACs ranging from 8 bits to 20 bits in resolution. These DACs are recommended for use with the ADI clocking and timing products, op amps, and power management solutions that are designed to meet the demanding requirements of DAC applications.

AD7915 Differential PulSAR ADCs

Analog Devices AD7915 Differential PulSAR ADCs are successive approximation, 1MSPS analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that operate from a single power supply, VDD. AD7915 ADCs contain a low power, high speed, 16-bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, the AD7915 sample the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN− pins. The voltages on these pins typically swing in opposite phases between 0V and VREF. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage, VDD. AD7915 power scales linearly with throughput. Serial peripheral interface (SPI) compatible, AD7915 ADCs feature the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus. AD7915 is compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, and 5V logic, using the separate VIO supply. Specified from −40°C to +125°C, AD7915 ADCs are ideally suited for battery-powered equipment, data acquisition systems, medical instruments, and seismic data acquisition systems.
