MAX66242 DeepCover® Secure Authenticator

Analog Devices MAX66242 DeepCover® Secure Authenticator is a transponder IC that combines an RF frontend, I2C frontend, SHA-256 engine, and EEPROM in a single chip. The RF front end is ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO 18000-3 Mode 1-compatible. The SHA-256 engine is FIPS 180-based. The EEPROM comes in 4096 bits of user-programmable memory. A bidirectional security model enforces two-way authentication between a host system and the MAX66242. Each Maxim MAX66242 DeepCover Secure Authenticator has its own guaranteed unique 64-bit ROM ID factory programmed into the chip. This ROM ID is a fundamental input parameter for cryptographic operations and is an electronic serial number within the application.
