71M6545 Metrology Processor

Maxim Integrated 71M6545 metrology processor is based on Teridian 4th-generation metering architecture that supports the 71M6xxx series of isolated current sensing devices and leads to drastic reduction in component count, immunity to magnetic tampering, and unparalleled reliability. Maxim Integrated 71M6545 metrology processor integrates Single Converter Technology® with a 22-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter, a customizable 32-bit computation engine (CE) for core metrology functions, and a user-programmable 8051-compatible application processor (MPU) core with up to 64KB flash and 5KB RAM. An external host processor can access metrology functions directly through the SPI™ interface or the embedded MPU core in applications requiring metrology data capture, storage, and pre-processing within the metrology subsystem. These Maxim Integrated devices are designed for use in energy meter applications.
